Shapes and Colors

This week we will be learning about colors through the story, "Dog's Colorful Day." Through out the story the dog gets different colored spots.  The students will be identifying the colors of the spots and reciting how the dog recieved each spot.  Here you will find a coloring page for "Dog's Colorful Day."

This week we will also focus on shapes.  We will be learning about four basic shapes. These shapes are the triangle, circle, square. and rectangle.  Students will be creating pictures using the shapes as well as identifying shapes that they see in thier environment.  We will be taking a shape walk to the park where I will ask the students what shapes they see along the way.  Please take time to help your children idenitfy shapes at home.  For example, "What is the shape of the T.V.?" or at dinner time "What shape is your food?"
